Prempro Vs. bioTE Medical® Bioidentical Hormones – Media Release

HORMONE REPLACE THERAPY PELLETS NOT LINKED TO BREAST CANCER

Dallas Doctor says Federal Study Only Reviewed PremPro Pills

Dr. Gary Donovitz, Institute of Hormonal Balance in Plano and Arlington says the study that links hormone replacement therapy to breast cancer only studied one type of HRT.      “The study only looked at the pill PremPro, but it did not include bio-identical hormone replacement pellets.  The use of SottoPelle hormone pellet therapy in 1000 women over 10 years has only seen one woman be diagnosed with breast cancer in her second month of treatment, so she probably had it before she started HRT treatment,” Dr. Gary Donovitz said.  Dr. Donovitz has treated over 9000 women and has had no patient develop breast cancer. “In addition many of those patients were in remission from breast cancer and have not developed a reoccurrence after receiving SottoPelle hormone pellet therapy.”

“In fact a study reported in the January 2009 issue of Post Graduate Medicine showed physiological data and clinical outcomes that demonstrated that bio-identical hormones were associated with lowering the risk of breast cancer and cardiovascular disease.  There is big difference from synthetic HRT hormones like PremPro and bio-identical HRT like  bioTE Medical® hormone pellet therapy,” Donovitz said.

Dr. Donovitz advises women not to panic over this newly released study but to get details on the type of hormones that were used in the study and the type of HRT they are using.

Dr. Donovitz adds doctors in Europe and Australia use bio-identical hormone pellets to treat breast cancer survivors because it reduces the risk of cancer reoccurrence.
